In the context of 60 years of television organize the municipality of Hilversum and broadcasters a public event on the first weekend of September 2011. For three days, the Dutch public can take a look behind the scenes; presenters meet and enjoy countless performances on various stages at the Media Park and in downtown Hilversum Media City. Nearly half a million people have seen something of the first Hilversum Media Festival through broadcasts on radio and television. More than 40,000 people attended the festival. Starlive communication & events commissioned by the municipality initially the feasibility of such a large public event mapped, and it was given responsibility for overall coordination and organization. “We look back on a good first edition of the festival,” said Berry de Jong and Jan Eleveld. “For us as a company it is good to have been able to demonstrate that we not only in the field of corporate stand our ground. With the right top-producers in our network, we have created a team that has organized under our leadership all facets of such a large public event to perfection. “On the Media Park presented the broadcasters in pavilions with meet & greets known TV personalities, children’s programs and activities. Open Studio Days, which are organized for years and now were part of the festival, saw the number of visitors to nearly double to 12,000 people. From across the country people came to take a look behind the scenes and experience the magic of radio and television. The EO had an overpowering attended open house in their own building. On Kerkbrink were live radio broadcast with many guests and includes a performance by Racoon. In the evening there was a swirling music market and in the city with first music for the youngest, after which it slowly became a great and friendly music festival. There were performances by many Dutch artists, including Frans Bauer and LA The Voices. “It’s good for the city that now Hilversum Media Festival,” said Mayor Peter Brothers. “This collaboration with media parties we would like to expand further. We will now evaluate and then start as soon as possible to prepare for next year. “
